  The South West of France

The Southwest has been described as the last undiscovered corner of France. This is changing as visitors find that the region has every facility and attraction a tourist destination could wish to offer in an area that also offers unparalleled space, peace and tranquillity.

Paguetout is in the largest forest in Europe which covers 1 million hectares and is mostly a protected National Park. The forest is edged by 106km of the most beautiful and deserted beaches in France. We are midway between the vineyards of Bordeaux to the north and the fascinating Basque region around Biarritz to the south.

This uncrowded, relaxing region offers a rare combination of natural beauty, cultural variety and extensive leisure activities. The lists to the right give a sample of what you can do in the surrounding area. Look on the English versions of www.touradour.com, www.tourismelandes.com, www.landesdegascogne.com for more information on the area.
